The Horse You Came In On Saloon

Since 1775, a saloon has occupied the first floor of a row house in Baltimore’s Fell’s Point neighborhood.  In 2013, when The Horse You Came In On Saloon had the opportunity to expand into a neighboring historic building, RPH Architecture was hired to bring the project into the 21st century.  In addition to more than doubling the size of the saloon and adding a performance space at the back of the adjoining building, both buildings needed their electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems updated. Structural and life-safety code retrofits were required and the 238 year old facades were restored and repaired.  The historic charm of the original saloon remains and in combination with the new spaces, the saloon is ready for its next two centuries.
