When the Maryland Department of Housing & Community Development announced the 2014 recipients of the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Funding, it was great to see that Sunshine Village made was at the top of the list with the highest score. Located in Pocomoke on the Eastern Shore, this renovation of 66 units on two sites addresses the need for affordable housing in rural areas. The renovation at Sunshine Village provides for a new community building which will house a property office, computer center, fitness room, laundry facilities, and recreational amenities for resident use. This project will provide the property with a much-needed facelift as well as amenities that can be enjoyed by the residents. We are excited to be working with Homes for America on another Maryland affordable housing project.
