South Street Centre Begins Construction

South Street Centre is underway after the Groundbreaking kicked off construction. South Street Centre is comprised of the renovation of four historic buildings and the addition of three new buildings situated in the heart of downtown historic Frederick. It is also one of the first “twin” financial deals in the State of Maryland. This project will focus on preserving the existing historic structures and seamlessly integrating the new housing onto the site, providing 152 units of affordable housing to seniors and families. The first building to begin demolition and construction is the Moose Lodge. The Moose Lodge renovations will include 4 apartment units, a community room, offices, business center, playroom, fitness room, and kitchenette for staff. We are excited to work with developers of Housing Authority of the City of Frederick, SCG Group, and New Harbor Development to bring recognition and growth to the City of Frederick.
