Construction at Laurel Grove Acres

Construction is well underway at Laurel Grove Acres Apartments located in Federalsburg, Maryland. The multifamily community is comprised of 37 units with three units that are UFAS compliant, as well as units that are designed for hearing and visually impaired individuals.

As part of the renovation, the units will be updated with new finishes, fixtures and appliances as well as new water heaters and heat pumps. The community building will also be expanded to accommodate a new computer area for tenant use, new offices for staff, an accessible restroom, new file storage, an expanded maintenance room and a freshly renovated laundry room.

An accessible path will be created throughout the community inclusive of bike racks for the residents. This path will also lead to a new accessible playground with modern equipment, new bike racks, and new dumpster enclosures. Currently, six buildings are complete, and the four remaining buildings will be completed by early fall.
